1 billion women worldwide are in menopause today. And yet, menopause remains one of the most underfunded, misunderstood, and unsupported health transitions in modern society.
Menopause is not a niche issue. It affects half the global population and touches every workplace, family, and economy. Women can spend up to one-third of their lives in peri-menopause and menopause—often while navigating careers, caregiving, leadership roles, and major life transitions.
The impact is real:
Physical and mental health challenges
Increased risk of chronic disease
Lost productivity and career attrition
Silence, stigma, and misdiagnosis
And still, too many women are told to “just cope.”
We need to act now.
Because supporting women through menopause is not just a health issue—it’s an equity issue, an economic issue, and a leadership issue.
Action means:
Better education for women, employers, and healthcare providers
Access to evidence-based care and treatment
Menopause-inclusive workplace policies
Open conversations that replace stigma with understanding
When women are supported through menopause, everyone benefits—families, businesses, healthcare systems, and society as a whole.
It’s time to stop treating menopause as an afterthought.
1 billion women can’t wait.
